We're in the North Now!

Well, if we couldn't tell by the accents, other clues might be the 45 degree nights in August, lightening bugs, or the mouse that lives in our attic. I also saw a Woolyworm on my jog the other day, which means fall is starting already? According to this one, winter going to be cold at the start and finish, but mild in between. They do have an 85% rate of accuracy! Did you know they make their own antifreeze and can survive up to -90 degrees? I may need some of that this winter!

Hey Heather and Mark,

Wow - I almost forgot about Woolly Worms! (I'm a transplanted New Englander now on the West Coast). Thanks for bringing me back to those tell-tale signs of Autumn.

Anyway, I found you while searching for New London County-area bloggers, and I kind of had this weird favor to ask you.

I'm a local cartoonist (Springfield / married a CT girl), and I just found out that I'm up for a vote in your daily paper, 'The Day'. I write the newly-syndicated comic strip "DeFlocked" (recently endorsed by Larry David!), and I'm really looking for some local support.

Would you mind checking out my work at www.deflocked.com, and then maybe pulling the lever for me at http://archive.theday.com/re.aspx?re=e4bd916f-3274-4127-bcc6-8f3249869f02

It would only take a second, and it would be a HUGE help to me. Voting ends Tuesday, 9/16, so if you could - please spread the word!

Thanks - I really really appreciate it. Have a great week, and best of luck with the home remodeling (it never stops, BTW).
